Alternate to the show
-Disclaimer: I don't own the the flash DC does. I only own the OC-Lily she will be Barry's twin sister because this is how it will work best for my story
Patty was leaving Central City to go to CSI school. Barry was sad obviously but Patty kept saying that is he revealed himself as the flash she would stay. Barry wanted to say it was him, but his twin sister Lily kept telling him "No you can't you'll put her in more danger than she is already in from being a detective." Barry was conflicted if he told her she would stay but she would be in more danger. If he didn't she would leave and she would be safer with him not around.
Lily was getting annoyed by Patty constantly ask barry to tell her so she could stay. Of course Lily know of her brothers powers she a the power to slow down time it even worked on barry if she wanted or needed to slow him down. Him being a speedster cold see all that she was doing in real time but would have to move in almost slow motion.
Lily was watching her brother work when Patty came in. "Hey can I talk to Barry for a sec" Patty asked looking between the twins. "Yeah I'm just gonna be one my phone I totally zone out when I'm on it" Lily lied. Barry knew Lily was lying but didn't call her out on it. "Yeah, what do you need" Barry asks Patty. Lily just holds her phone in front of her face as she fake scrolls through instagram. "Barry please tell me that you're the flash and I'll stay" Patty pleads. "Patty I can't because I'm not him" Barry reasons looking at her sadly. "I know you're the Flash" she says persistently "Patty I'm not the flash!" "I thought if i could stay which I really wanted to I could fight crime in the day and spend the night with you" Patty says quietly. She walked away from the forensic lab.
"Lily what am I supposed to do she put me in a terrible position" Barry cries to his sister. She jumps down from the table she was sat on and walks over to him pulling her brother into a hug. She stands on her tip toes as her broth leans down. They hug like this because he is 6'1" and she is 5'5". They usually side hug because of the 7" height difference but not when one of the need to be comforted. She hugs him tightly and tells him "Bare you have to let her go it's not worth it." He sighs knowing she's right "Yeah you're right like always it's not worth it.
Lily begins to go down stairs to get coffee she works as a IT person for the CCPD. Right before she is in the break room where the coffee rests. She is pulled into a closet and her captor is Patty. Patty looks determined. "Lily please I need to know if Barry is the Flash." "That wouldn't make sense Patty, have you seen Barry run, he looks like a penguin who only has one leg." "But it's the only explanation for how Barry has all this information about cases that involve the Flash." Lily sighs and looks down then back up at Patty. "If I tell you will be put in danger." "I'm a cop I'm always in danger." "You'll be in more danger because of metas and criminals and people who don't like the Flash" "I can handle that." Lily sighs and says "It's Barry but please realize that if you stay in central city you'll put both Barry and yourself in the most danger that will inevitably drive you apart." "You're saying it would be better if I left" Patty looks at Lily shocked. Lily nods her head yes. Lily doesn't dare make eye contact. Patty sighs and says "That is probably for the best isn't it?" "Yeah most likely."
That night Patty leaves after saying goodbye to all her friends and all her coworkers.
