L Lawliet and Light Yagami were born in expectation. The church bells blessed them. They were friends evr since they were babies.
One day they were playing when they found a flower, half of the petals were red, and the rest were blue.
"Look at this, L." Light said. The 5 year old L looked at the flower and smiled but that smile soon dissapeared when somebody picked up Light.
L grabbed the half of the flower that was blue and held on as hard as he could but the flower ripped in half, along with L & Light's future.
"L!" Light shouted as he was carried away. L began to cry when he saw the blue half of the flower, L picked it up knowing that Light had the red half. L then got up and spoke.
"Even if everything in the world becomes your enemy I will protect you, so you just stay there smiling and laughing." L said still teary eyed as he held his half of the flower to his face. After a few years L eventually became Light's favorite, servant and friend. Light was the ruler, and L was the servant. Destiny divided pitful friends for Light's appreceation, L would even kill.
One day when L was visiting a neighboring country, his new hat flew away only to be picked up by a young girl around his age. She was standing with an albino boy she walked up to him.
"I beleive this is yours. I'm Misa Amane." Misa said with a kind voice and a kind smile on her face. L took his hat and Misa walked off with the white haired boy. L ghad fallen in love at first sight. That day L returned home and saw Light talking to someone L, curios of what was going on listend in.
"Make sure Misa's country suffers." Light said. L watched as Misa passed on in the attack and his tears didn't stop.
People were attacking and surley to end Light's life. L decieded to tempt fate. L took out two wigs and removed his clothes.
"Put these on, there my clothes." L said as he dressed up like Light.
"L, why?" Light asked. L put the one of the wigs on Light's head and put a grey cloak on him
"Run, now, Don't worry nobody will ever tel diffrence, even though we are not twins." L said. "Now I'm the ruler and your my servant. Destiny divided, sad friends."
L said. Light ran away and L allowed himself to be captured. That night in prison L talked to himself.
"A long, long time ago in some place was the kingdom of treacherous inhumanity. And ther reigning in apex was my very good friend, Light." L said as he took the blue half of the flower he kept with him and hid it up his sleeve. The day of L's execution came. Light ran to the front of the crowd and L only fixed his eyes on him and as Light began to cry, L spoke Light's favorite line.
"Oh, it's time for a snack." L said. And the blade dropped. Light then cried with the heart shaped locket in his ahnd and ran away.
One day when Light was walking, still in his disguise when he thought he saw L's spirt and it spoke to him.
"If I ever am reborn again I hope the first friend I have is you." The spirt said. Light rememberd the day he found that flower and how it was ripped in two and how they both cherished their halves. Light then removed the heart shaped locket and opend it and the only thing in it was, the red half of the flower. Light then smiled and hoped L was enjoying the afterlife.
