This is my first one shot and I'm going to start posting a chapter story.

I ran my fingers through my long, pink hair.

"You need a haircut," Happy said.

"I think it makes me look sexy," I replied. I hadn't been paying much attention to my image. All I really cared about was whether the guild was still together and whether or not I'd be able to protect them now. I ran towards the door to the guild hall and opened it. The smell of dust and mold was overwhelming.

"Look who finally decided to show up," a voice said.

"Mavis?" I asked. Her figure slowly appeared in front of me.

"Oh my, Natsu you've grown so strong," she muttered.

"What happened?" I asked her. She paused and turned around.

"The guild broke up. People move on. Even Lucy has. I heard that Loke and her were dating." I turned my head and growled.

"She's dating that idiot?" I hissed.

"I'm afraid so. You really do miss out on these things when you leave for a year. You're family is gone. They've all gone their separate ways," she mumbled. I clenched my hand into a fist.

"There's no way the guild broke up. I still have the mark on my shoulder," I took off the cloak and showed her.

"A mark is a reminder of the past, just like many of the bonds you've made," she said, and with that she disappeared. I wandered the empty halls for awhile with Happy before leaving the guild hall for good.

"Lucy?" I shouted. The blonde girl in the melted stands looked down at me with tears in her eyes. I pulled myself over the railing in the stadium. I reached out for an embrace, but she stayed away from me.

"Don't go near me!" she shouted.

"What?" I muttered.

"Do you really think that leaving for a year and waltzing back like nothing had ever happened! I haven't seen anyone at all! For all I know, Gray and Juvia could have had a baby!" she shouted. I grabbed on to her arm. I was stronger now and she couldn't pull away.

"I'm not letting go," I said. I pulled her close and wrapped my arms around her.

"KYAA!" she shouted. She kicked my penis as hard as she could before turning away. I dropped to my knees clutching my crotch.

"Lucy, please, I regret leaving. After I left, I knew I couldn't turn back so I kept going. About a month in, I realized a something," I said.

"Would you like to tell me what that is?" she asked, facing me again. I stood up.

"I-I-I-" I stuttered.

"I don't have time to listen to you stutter. You're even worse than that idiot Loke who has asked me out like a billion times. Unlike you and Happy, I have a job and I need money," she hissed.

"Lucy, god damn it, I love you!" I shouted. I grabbed her shoulders and pressed my lips against hers. She wrapped her arms around my neck and we continued to stand like this. Happy began snickering and we pulled away.

"You like each other!" he shouted.

"Shut up!" Lucy exclaimed. She muttered I love you and I leaned in and we kissed again. I guess things really do change when you're gone.
