Friendship is a fragile thing
Like a butterflies beautiful wings
So easily ripped or torn
Or pierced by betrayals thorn
And there are some people
In this sad world
Who take sadistic delight
In other pain and fright
He pins butterfly wings to the ground
And smiles at the mournful sound
A silent scream of unending pain
Friendship broken, betrayal reigns
The rents in the wings slowly heal
And the pain in their souls they will always feel
Redemption is a poor gift
To try and heal the deep, dark rift
Maybe in time their souls will heal
But until then they will never feel
A love for another, like they felt for her
