Poem about Sasuke and Sakura

She was day.

He was night.

She was pure.

He was tainted.

They truly were

Opposites in every aspect.

She was an angel,

Who loved him, a demon.

And no one would ever understand why,

Then again, no one needed to.

He was a demon, an avenger,

He had someone to kill.

Avengers don't love,

They hate,

They push away.

She would continue to love,

He would continue to push,

Right up until

That night,

The night the world stopped turning,

Their world, that is.

Angels should never cry.

Demons should never smile.

Actions like these

Only helped add chaos to the mess.

Actions like these

Only helped the world to stop turning.

She cried.

Her heart bled out through her tears,

Piece by piece,

Drop by drop,

Till there was nothing left

But lonely fragments

Of a young girl's dreams.

He smiled.

It was small,

But it was his first true smile in years.

He smiled, but why?

Because, he had heard the words

He had been secretly

Longing to hear for so long.

I love you with all my heart.

But still, he left.

He left his home.

He left his family.

He left her.

He left her with parting words,

Words that would torment and confuse her

For years to come.

Thank you.

A conclusion was drawn,

He really didn't care.

It only hurt her more.

But eventually,

She would move on,

And the world would turn again.

Life goes on.

Steadily,

He grew.

With age came strength.

With age came wisdom.

With age came regret.

With age came something new,

Something strange,

Something he didn't understand.

He avenged his clan.

He accomplished his life goal.

He killed his brother,

The man who ruined everything for him.

Revenge was sweet,

But left an unsatisfying taste,

For after the thrill of killing him wore off,

Only an emptiness was felt.

It was not all

He imagined it to be.

So,

With no where else to go,

And a now familiar ache,

He returned

To his old home.

To his old family.

To her.

Punished accordingly,

He began leading a normal life,

Or at least, as normal as he could.

Old friendships and bonds

Were revived,

With the exception of

Her.

Little glances and glimpses

And occasional snippets of conversation

Were all he received from her.

And over the next few months,

A grim realization dawned on him,

One that he had been dreading for a while.

She was avoiding him.

But why would she?

Why wouldn't she?

She had found a new lover,

And cut all ties with her old.

When he confronted her about it,

She, of course,

Denied it entirely.

Shortly after,

He received news

Of her engagement.

As predicted,

He did not merit an invitation to the wedding.

So, he formed a plan,

Secretly, carefully, and well thought out.

So he wasn't invited,

Like that would stop him.

He had always been

Deadest on his goals.

This would be no different.

Her wedding day arrived,

And she had a plan as well.

It included

Moving on from him

And living happily ever after.

These were two things

That could not be done together.

One or the other,

Choose wisely.

She was ready.

All her bridesmaids

Fluttered around her

Like petals in the breeze.

Panic, disorder, and chaos

Arose all around her,

Yet she remained calm.

She was ready—

For this to be over with.

Finally,

The time had come.

A soft melody

Sounded in the church.

The groom

Turned and smiled

As the doors opened.

This was the door

His bride-to-be

Would walk through

Any moment now.

But instead,

Someone else came,

A bridesmaid.

She ran up the aisle

And whispered in his ear.

The bride was missing!

An anxious groom fretted

While a search party

Began their task.

This was not going well at all.

It was sometime later,

When they found her.

She was sitting

On a bench

With him.

With his arms around her

With her fingers entangled in his hair

With their eyes shut

With their lips pressed together—

Together at last.
