Juliet woke up on a frigid, San Francisco morning and noticed two things. One: the sound of rain pounding on the roof. Ugh, not again. While California had been in a drought for the last few years, and she probably should have been grateful for this weather, Juliet had never really liked the cold.

The second thing she noticed was that Shawn wasn't in bed. He was normally never up before 9:30. Juliet went downstairs to find that he wasn't anywhere else in the house either. Then she looked outside and saw Shawn and Gus (who lived just a block away, and often came to their house uninvited) on the first purchase Shawn had insisted on making when they moved into a house with a backyard. A trampoline. Two grown men were bouncing on a trampoline in the pouring rain.

"Shawn, what are you guys doing?" Juliet called to her husband, opening the sliding glass door leading to the backyard.

"We're celebrating the end of the drought!" Every time Shawn bounced, water splashed up on him and Gus, leaving them soaked.

"One week of rain doesn't mean the drought's over." Juliet pointed out.

"I've heard it both ways."

"That doesn't even make sense." Gus said.

"Sure it does. Jules, you gonna join us?"

"Why would I want to bounce on a trampoline and get myself soaked on a freezing cold day?"

"Because it's awesome. Besides, you think any weather below 75 degrees is cold."

"Hey, I grew up in a warm climate, okay?" Juliet defended herself.

"C'mon Sweetie, it'll be fun," Shawn begged, "just for a few minutes."

"Fine." Juliet climbed through the net and onto the trampoline. "But I'm going back inside in five minutes. Tops." Jules shivered as her feet touched the freezing cold surface of the trampoline. "My feet are already going numb."

"You'll get used to it in a few minutes, just have some fun, Jules!"

Juliet sighed, and started to bounce, water splashing up on her, until she was dripping head to toe. Despite the cold, she had to admit this was a little bit fun.

"S-s-so c-cold." Juliet's teeth chattered as the three of them walked back into the house.

"Gus, buddy, why don't you go make us some hot chocolate." Shawn said.

"Why do I have to make the hot chocolate?"

"Because you never like my hot chocolate and poor Juliet is shivering her ass off." He grabbed a blanket off the couch and wrapped it around her shoulders. Jules smiled, grateful for the warmth and Shawn's thoughtfulness.

"Fine," Gus said, "but I get most of the marshmallows."

"Like you weren't going to take most of them anyways." Shawn muttered as he and Jules headed upstairs to change into dry clothes.

They came downstairs a few minutes later, Juliet wearing a new pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt, her hair still wet, and the same blanket wrapped around her. Soon the three of them were sipping hot chocolate by a lit fireplace, though Gus seemed to have twice as many marshmallows as the couple.

Shawn wrapped his arm around Juliet, pulling her in close. "You warmer Sweetheart?"

"Yeah, thanks." She put her head on his shoulder and smiled. Rain pounding in a comforting rhythm on the roof, Juliet could think of no better way to spend her day off.

A/N:My family has a trampoline, and my brother and I love to go on it in the rain. If there isn't any rain (which there hadn't been until about a month ago) we sometimes spray the trampoline with the hose, but it doesn't really have the same affect. So, ya. Reviews would be nice.
