On a stormy night, a blue coffin, or maybe it was just a blue box, was fished out of the sea. . Out came a man.

None of the crew knew what do with him. Some wanted to kill him and steal his goods.

I, Jamie McCrimmon, declared he should live. And so he did.

He knew not his name, nor his life, but he healed old Art's dog, so we called him the Healer.

His face had soft features, and his hair was curly. He wore a soft coat, made from a unknown material . He spoke little, but had wise eyes. His dreams were often troubled,. He liked to stare at the stars.

One day, after a horrific fight, where we lost many men, Finn said he found a maiden of silver skin. She said that she could take away our pain and grief. Make us immortal like the gods.

The Healer did not like this maiden.

But the men were weary. And so they gave themselves to her magicks. They, too, then had silver skin.

The Healer hated violence. But he said , that this one time , we had to fight. That our village, and all the villages the world over, were at stake.

The rest of us were foolish and afraid, and so we laughed. Then the Sunset came.

The sky was orange and blue and red. Then it was just silver.

The Maiden sent her Knights to battle us. All hope was lost.

Then the Healer gathered the alchemical power of gold and lightning.

From the clouds came a golden torrent.

The Maiden and the Knights raved to the last silver warrior, but were swept back.

A solemn feast was held for our fallen allies.

Then the Healer announced that this was not the last of the warriors, and he must return to his blue coffin.

But before he left, he told me to follow my secret dreams of the blue box and the stars.

And that he would, one day, come back.
