So I'm sorry I being gone for so long. I keep having writer's block. So I went back to reading and try to see where I could continue this story in the same but different form. I love this story I didn't want to abandon it so now I'm back. I'll try to update at least once a month. And anyone know a good beta? I need one. Enjoy reading!
Prologue
Charlie POV
She's beautiful, I think. She's leaning against the door, wearing a white dress. It shows off her very pregnant stomach. She's watching the rain fall. As well as smelling and tasting the air and looking out at the woods.
"You can't taste the air, Renee." I say while she outside watching the rain fall. I stare at her like she's crazy. Hell she probably is crazy. I got myself one crazy mate.
"Of course you can. It tastes fresh. Can't you taste as well?"
"Uh no." I look at her like she'd grown two heads.
"Don't look at me like that."
"But you can't taste it," I insisted.
"Charlie, you can't taste because you're an idiot and immune. I taste it because I never tasted it before. Therefore, don't insult me again or you'll sleep in the couch once again."
"Of course, my love."
"You're beautiful," I say out loud.
"Charlie, I swear to god if you say that one-"
"But you are beautiful, Renee," I insisted.
"There's nothing beautiful about me. I look like a bloated whale. I can't even look at me feet. Hell I don't even what to. They probably look swollen and red and-"
"Renee, my love, your feet are beautiful."
"Of course you say that. You're my mate." Here we go again. "You're supposed to see me beautiful and attractive. News flash, Charlie. I look ugly and -."
"Everything is beautiful about you, Renee. You don't look ugly, you're glowing. You're giving me a child that we can both love and cherish forever." I smiled.
She shakes her head looks at me with amusement in her eyes. My grin widens, "But you already knew that didn't you?"
She shakes her head again, smiling and looks down to her very pregnant stomach. "Of course I did. I just teasing you so you can compliment me again."
I walk toward her and pick her up and set her down in the couch.
I crouch down. "How is he?" I ask while touching her stomach. I felt our baby kick.
"Charlie for the hundredth time, we don't know if it a boy. For all we know it's a girl." She stands up again. She can never sit down for long.
"But-"
"But nothing Charlie." She walks toward the unfinished nursery.
"Fine." I pouted.
"Don't pout, Charlie it's an unattractive look," she says without looking at me.
Shocked, I said "I was not pout-"
"Yes you were. Quit trying to den-"
All of a sudden I hear a crash.
"RENEE!" Rushing to the nursing room I saw her bend over and her face crunched. I felt my instinct was started to kick in.
Must find the source of pain. Must find the source of pain. Must find the sou-
All of the sudden my head was facing the door.
"Charlie I don't have time for your stupid instinct."
"Renee you're -"
"I'm in labor idiot."
"Oh."
"Oh? Oh! Get me to a hospital, you fool."
Snapping out of it, I picked her up and was running out of the door and thinking which hospital was the closes.
"Charlie?"
"Yes my love?" I look at her and saw admiration and love in her eyes.
She shakes her head, "Nothing. I just love you."
My heart melts, "I do to my love."
I look up to see if were almost close.
"Charlie?"
"Yes?"
"We're having a baby," I look down again and see her soft smile while caressing her stomach.
I felt my heart stuttered while looking at her.
"I know."
