"I thought you were the movie expert, DiNozzo," Gibbs muttered as he took a seat on the couch. Even if he didn't know much about technology, he knew that Tony certainly had a better TV set up than he did. The clicker barely changed channels anymore and he wasn't sure if they even made video tapes anymore to play in his VCR.
Chuckling, Tony went to take a seat beside his Boss, placing the bowl of popcorn between them as he fired up the Blu-Ray disc player. "Guess I must've missed it. I mean, epic as it may be, it did come out way before my time." There was a pause as he realized it very well could have come out in Gibbs' 'time' and the implication in his voice had been that only old people would know it. "I mean, not... way, way before. Maybe more like a couple of... years... before. Just like - you know, before I got into watching movies or whatever, which doesn't mean it's an old movie, per se..."
He was met with a cold stare.
"I'm gonna hit play."
Tony missed the smile that twitched at the older man's lips and both shifted back in unison against the cushions, each taking a sip of their bear at the same time. The piano music began to pour from the speakers, the classic mark of silent films, and the black and white figures began to move quickly about the screen.
The first time Tony let out a laugh, Gibbs couldn't help but beam a little proudly at choosing a winner. It was really something to be able to show the self-dubbed Movie Expert a film he'd never seen, after all.
