Morty's crisis of Faith.
Morty was watching television from another dimension with Rick using cable he stole. Rick knew not only about alien shows but of human shows that never existed and of ones that continued. Morty asked "So, Pushing Daisies was a multi season show in other realities?" Rick said, yes, it was, and in one reality, it was as successful as Walking Dead was in ours.
Morty then wondered, "What about that weird show where Garfield had two extra hands? "Rick then said, Gazorpazorpfield was terrible, but popular. Morty then explained "like Big Bang Theory?" Rick said, "no, worse." Their universe's Macy's parade has two Gazorpazorpfield balloons, and Gazorpazorpfield has a statue built for him.
Rick found an old show from an alternate reality called "Faith the Vampire Slayer". Morty asked "they gave Faith a show?" Rick said "in this reality, in 2003, Tru Calling was never made, and Eliza Dushku was on this short lived show set in Cleveland, Ohio that got cancelled in 2005. Morty, it is like Jessica Jones if it had been made with Buffy characters and in the early 2000's. Morty said "I'd love to see this."
The show's theme came on, and it looked and sounded nothing like a typical Joss Whedon show. It showed frames of Eliza Dushku's Face alternating from anger to fear to tears. The song playing for the theme was "Maps" by Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Morty, being a Joss Whedon fan, was quickly hooked. Morty liked how Faith was beautiful, tough, and fearless and how great the fight scenes were. Morty thought this joy could go on forever.
Several weeks later, after Rick had watched most of the episodes and was on the final episode, Morty was in for disappointment. In the middle of a fight scene between Faith and a powerful demon, the television suddenly faded to black, and Morty was frustrated by it. Morty shouted "this is worse than how Angel ended in our universe." Rick said, "in this universe, Angel ended after six seasons with Angel turning into a human and living happily ever after with Buffy and they had a daughter named Cordelia Jenny Summers." Morty said, "that sounds even lamer than the real ending, at least Joss avoided a cheesy happy ending." Rick asked Morty, "Want to watch something else on alternate TV"? Morty said "sure, why not." After Rick burped, he set it to a version of Walking Dead that crossed over with Grey's Anatomy where the doctors fight zombies.
