Jim Hawkins and the Cyborg
Summery: A very short one-shot: The first night on the RLS Legacy, Jim contemplates a certain Cyborg… yes, John Silver, and silently questions his motives…
Author's Note: I wrote a similar story like this that you can find on my other account. It's called Will Turner and the Pirate. (A Pirates of the Caribbean fic obviously.) And I decided to do another version of it, only this time, using Treasure Planet since I'm a sucker for that movie.
It was his first night on a real ship. Jim thought that he would be excited, but he was too busy thinking about John Silver. That sweet talkin' suck up of a cook. He was exactly what Billy Bones had described right before he died… and handed Jim the map. So he should be suspicious, right?
But then, Silver had probably saved his life earlier that day when Jim had insulted that spider creep, Mr. Scroop. Jim had made a mental note earlier to try not to insult any of the weird-looking alien creatures for the rest of the voyage.
So what did he know for sure about John Silver? A cyborg? Yes. A suck up to anyone who had more authority than him? That too. And now he had said himself that for the rest of the trip, he'd be keeping his eye on Jim. That didn't exactly make him look forward to the rest of the voyage… not at all.
What if Silver really turned out to be the cyborg that was chasing old Billy Bones the night the Benbow Inn was burned down? Then they'd all be in big trouble.
This wasn't at all what Jim had imagined his first night to be like on a big ship like this one. He'd always wanted to leave that planet that he'd always lived on. But now that he had… he just didn't expect it to feel this way. He probably would have felt much better if Silver wasn't on the ship.
Jim had promised his mother that he'd be careful. And come back and make her proud. But Jim got the feeling that with John Silver around, that goal was going to be pretty hard to achieve…
A.N: Reviews would be nice. They make me happy :D
