The Hero looked up without breaking his silence at the farmer who trotted down from his house and stopped beside him, surveying his farm.
"Well, everything looks mostly unharmed and the packages are safe! We'll be getting them off our hands as soon as we can, they're not worth the trouble! Thank you so much Hero and the gold as promised..."
The Hero recieved a jingling cloth bag of gold from the grateful farmer.
"Thank you once again for helping out the farm! Not many Heroes would choose to do so
when the other side is paying more! I say, wasn't that Thunder's little sister? I heard
you were trained together at the Guild. You certainly showed her!" The farmer's merry
face darkened and he lowered his voice,"Been getting too big for her boots I reckon.
Attacking a poor honest farm like this! You should of taught her more than a lesson"
He trailed off.
"Anyway!" He drew himself up,"I better be getting back to see my wife's okay and I reckon they'll need you at the Guild. Farewell Hero!"
As the farmer hurried off back to his house, once more Maze's student turned to stare thoughtfully in the direction Whisper had disappeared in. He had heard that tune more than once. Walking through Bowerstone he couldn't help but hear gossip. The more bloodthirsty citizens whispered in low voices but just not quiet enough how they'd like to see him in a death-to-death fight with Whisper. Maze's student and the sister of Thunder.
The Hero ignores them. He continues on with business. Despite the countless 'farmboy's and bragging done by Whisper, the countless challenges and always trying to beat him as a rival he didn't want to be...
He doesn't feel the need to kill Whisper.
Because one day he knows they will both end up in the Arena.
There is no doubt. He recognises Whisper's strength and as the younger sibling of Thunder,
a great Hero, she will naturally compete in it. How could she resist?
And the Hero will go too. And infront of everyone. Whisper's brother. People from Knothole Glade, people from Bowerstone, people from Oakvale...
There he will end it.
Ohhhmagawsh, so evil! D8 Hee, I made the Orchard Farm farmer seem quite evil. Ohmy.
Hah! I have a good Hero but Whisper so annoys me with her 'farmboy's and bragging... She had it coming to her. "You really showed Whisper!"
Oh oh oh and don't worry, I do like Whisper. She just annoys me.
It's funny when she walks into the whirly things in the Arena.
-COUGH- Okay, gone on too long, uhm, please review and tell me if you think it's good. I don't think it's quite what I was aiming for but I tried...
