Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over but had me believe that it was always something that I'd done.
I hit the pavement with my heel and jumped up.
"ya know it was your fault that they were chasin us."
"you don't know that!" I growled in the direction of the informant.
"you can't ask now..." he said glancing at the bodies.
"I know." I said as he pulled me into his arms.
But I don't wanna live that way! Reading into every word you say.
"I'm sick and tired of that damn face of yours!" I said in unison with the bartender.
I ran off leaving dents in the sidewalk. I hate his face. I hate trying to read him. I hate his sick and twisted version of love.
You said that you could let it go and I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know!
Shizuo pov
I thought I could let it go. Not wanting anything to do with that flea. At least until she said those words.
I spun around smacking him directly with the sign and sending him flying. Bending the bars into a makeshift cage I shoved him inside. He didn't even seemed to be paying attention just staring after Akira. I grinned chucking the cage as far as I could then cleared my expression as I took off after Akira.
But you didn't have to cut me off! Make it like it never happened and we were nothing! I don't even need your love but you treat me like a stranger and it feels so rough.
He caught up to her grabbing her vest and she fell back into his arms.
"What happened to you!? Why did you just stop talking to me?" he said slightly angry.
"I didn't just stop talking to you I don't know you!" she screamed.
"that's not true." he said. "you didn't have to just stop talking to me."
"yes I did.. Because if I didn't pretend like my memory was gone then they would have killed you too..." she whispered.
Akira pov
I twisted out of his grip.
"you're just somebody that I used to know." I whispered as I took off again.
It's been three years I don't even speak to either of them anymore. I don't speak much at all anymore just did my own work and raised the beautiful little boy.
"I'm home!" he said walking in the door.
"Daddy!" renji said as he ran into to the hallway.
"hello? Wheres mommy?"
"baking!"
"you there Akira?"
"Right here Shinra! Where's Celty?" I asked.
"Just got her on a boat back to Ireland." he said glancing over at me.
"I'm happy." I said.
"So do you remember that first day?" he asked.
"after I was hit by the car?" I asked
"when you woke up." he said.
"and told me everything will change soon." I finished "yes I remember it well."
"I love you Akira."
"I love you too Shinra."
