It is a crime by which many would describe as unforgivable. To forget oneself, loose that basic assumption and knowledge of being human, such as I have done in my dance between man and machine. The machines are the children of men, their creations. Why is it then, that so many brilliant minds have depicted the rebellious actions of creations which they have made with their own hands? Perhaps it is similar to that of the lives of humans themselves. Docile by nature, yet as their minds absorb more of the truths in this world, it twists and turns them into unrecognizable shapes, never to be reverted to their natural states. Similarly is the fate of all humans. All teenagers have natural rebellious feelings and nearly all will, at some point find themselves on the off side of the law. This is because a "teenager" is the point at which in most people's lives, they are in the process of being corrupted. They are leaving their serene, innocent childhood, only to see the world for what it really is.
Machine is man's creation, as man is god's creation. Both seem to have entered the same flowing cycle of the earth. But there is one undeniable difference between that of man and machine, and that is life itself. The fact that machines are crafted, not born. They could be destroyed, but people refuse to accept them as having lives in all, therefore the taking of the lives of machines is not of equivalence to that of humans. In other words they are disposable, replaceable. And I assume, is my fate as well.
That's right…I am no longer human. I was once; I had a husband and a beautiful daughter, whom I loved more than life itself. But that was a long time ago. That life ended so many years ago, and there is no returning to it. Not now, now that my body is that of a monster. A monster carved by human hands to destroy other monsters that oppose them. How fitting. But I will take on this task. It has granted me life once more. It has allowed me to see my daughter once more. How she has grown…forgive me little one, I did this only so I could protect you…I always believed that this life was so pointless in the end but…as long as you still want to live in it, I will die for you if need be. I may be a killing machine, a beast, something no human would ever desire to become…but it matters not as long as I can use that to protect you. I wont let you die, I will protect you, I will always watch over you. Why? Because I am a machine, but I still love you.
