Stories like Why Did It Have to Be You? and The Compromise by DetouredBe inspired me to write this piece and with Valentine's Day around the corner, why not? Dedicated to all Fidget and Olivia fans everywhere.

Dear Olivia,

Thank you for giving me kindness over the years, though I have abducted your father and you. Now, when I see your raving beauty, I gave up my criminal ways and thanks to that. If I would have seen it more often than I had earlier, I wouldn't have kidnapped you again. Even more important, your eyes are like the waves of the Thames, but in a good way. Overall, we still make a pretty good team in my gratitude to this day.

Love,

Fidget, the bat

When finished, Fidget set his letter and pencil aside on his writing table and dreamily positioned his hand on his cheek.

Dear Fidget,

If I wouldn't have been captured, I never would have ever met you. Not to mention your kind heart because looks can be deceiving from the outside. That alone and you would have been tortured by that sewer rat and his cat more, in which they are now long gone and you should be grateful for it, if it wouldn't have been for me. All in all, you weren't a bad bat after all.

Love,

Olivia Flaversham

With the words drained out from her pen, Olivia placed her note on her desk, daydreaming about Fidget's reaction to her letter.

Later that day, the bat and mouse vanished from their rooms and handed each other their letters.

"Livy, thanks," Fidget said, after he read the letter.

Olivia still liked being called "Livy", even though she was all grown up in her years.

After she read his letter, she said, "Thank you, Fidget." Having said that, she kissed the bat in her way of claiming her love for him. Fidget could do nothing more than blush with his face red, feverishly until he passionately kissed her in return.

That very day, the couple walked through the streets of London, including the Thames River and the St. James Park hand in hand.

When they veered on home, Olivia tickled Fidget with a feather pen, making him giggle. He chuckled so hard, he fell to the floor, laughing continuously.

"Darling, are you okay?" Olivia asked the bat who had tipped over. Undaunted, she affectionately picked him up. Fidget stopped laughing at that moment and enfolded his wings around the woman mouse who caressed him lovingly.

"Yeah, I'm fine, Olivia," Fidget answered, "Thanks."

"I'm glad you're alright," Olivia finally said and their noses touched.

The End

Author's notes: Short and sweet. I couldn't think of anything more to say than call it done.
