Author's Note: A little something I thought of; let me know what you think!

They had walked past the bull pen and the incinerator without saying a thing, mostly because Eric found it impossible to find words as he left OSP. He had to check all his toys at Hetty's desk a few hours earlier. Everything, that is, except the GPS antenna in his forearm; something about knowing that they'd be able to find him if something happened was comforting, even if he was supposed to be leaving that part of his life behind. All he had had on him besides his wallet and keys as he walked out the door was a disposable phone with the team's civilian numbers.

Once the pair got outside Nell broke the silence. "So, I guess this is it huh?"

He looked around before responding. It was pitch black, aside from the lone street lamp in the parking lot. The pair had stuck around long after everyone else had gone while they talked about his new job. "I guess so. I can't believe it's really been nine years - hell of a farewell party."

"Yup." She replied, popping the last consonant.

"Well, Nell Jones, I couldn't have asked for a better partner."

"Oh skip the sappy goodbye and give me a hug already."

Eric chuckled. "Think you guys'll get along alright without me?"

"Pff, we basically only kept you around so you could whistle for the team."

"Well that's good. Should make finding a replacement easier."

"Hey. We're finding another technical operator, not a replacement."

"I don't see how it's any different."

She hugged him suddenly instead of responding. "Good luck out there, Eric."

"Yeah. You too, partner." He replied, wrapping his arms around her small frame.

As she pulled away he slipped a card into her hand as gracefully as he could. She gave him a quizzical look before looking down to inspect it.

"There's even an emergency pager number if I decide to go unplugged on the weekend." He joked.

A smile slowly crossed her lips but, she didn't reply until she had finished reading. "Barrett?"

"Yeah. No more disguises, I guess." With a departing nod he turned to his scooter. After starting the engine he looked up at her again. "See you around, Nell."

With a somewhat reluctant smile she replied.

"It's Renée."

Author's Note: I don't know, I kind of want to continue this and see where it goes. Good? Bad? Thoughts?

EDIT: So, I guess I lied. There was somewhere I wanted to take this but it doesn't make sense (to me) anymore. If you want to read my notes and help me figure it out, let me know :)
