When Howl and Calcifer first meet
There was this little boy, around the age of ten. He lived in this cottage, that his uncle gave him, and it had fields of green grass and clear blue lakes surrounding the cottage. The little boy was named Howl. He had a white long-sleeved shirt, a light red vest, and had white pants. He had bluish-black hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. While he was working on writing his spells, he felt this warmness telling him to go outside and wait for falling stars.
While he was walking along the lakes, a stream of falling stars fell out of the sky. As Howl was waiting for a star to catch, he followed a star that was easy for him to reach.
As he was walking toward the star, the star said, "Ah don't catch me! I want to die!"
Howl said, "Wait don't die! I feel sorry for you to die like this and if I catch you I will keep you safe from harm and always feed you and care for you! But on one condition, I will have to have a contract with you so you won't run away from me. Come into my hand."
The star came slowly and cautiously into Howl's hand. Then Howl put the star to his mouth and swallowed the star. Howl coughed and then the star came out of Howl's chest as a little fire. Then Howl heard a voice and looked at the direction of where the voice was coming from. But Howl didn't see anything. So then Howl and the little fire went back to Howl's cottage and then Howl put the fire into a pot with little sticks to keep the fire from burning out.
Howl said, "This will do you well for now. I will have to build you a fireplace so you would have a much better comfortable place." And then Howl sat at his desk and started working on his spell that he wrote.
The fire settled into the pot and said, "Oh I haven't introduced myself! My name is Calcifer. I am a fire demon." Calcifer tried to stand up but had little stubby legs so it looked like he was stretching and bowed.
Howl looked up from his work and said, "Nice of me to catch you Calcifer, no? My name is Howl. I am a training wizard from not far from here." Then Howl smiled at Calcifer and went on working at his spell.
