Chapter One
Sephiroth!!

...Holy... Holy... is there... The Holy is shining...... Aeris's prayer is shining......!

It's not over yet... This isn't the end yet!!
Sephiroth shook his head, trying to stop thinking about his past. But he couldn't help it... After all, he was defeated by a failed experiment.
Aeris's memories... Our memories... We came to tell you... our memories... Come Planet! Show us your answer! And Sephiroth!!
Sephiroth winced.
To the settling of everything!!
Cloud's voice echoed in his head. It's all over... He said in his mind. Staring at his Masamune, laying against a tree, he shut his eyes. .....No..... I won't allow myself to be defeated by a fool!! He stood up, and walked over to his faithfull sword.
"Cloud.... You thought you had defeated me.... But you were wrong."
Grabbing it rather quickly, he stood up and began to walk towards the town.
Slowly, he fingered the sword in his hands. He took a deep breath of the fresh air. As he looked out over Nibelheim, he whispered to himself.
"I'm...back."

At that same moment, Cloud was aimlessly hacking at rocks with his Ultima Sword near Rocket Town.
"Damn, man!! Jus' cause Aeris died doesn't mean ya can't do anything anymore!! We all miss her, but at least we don't go on about it!! Ya have to move on in life!!"
Cloud turned around to see Cid standing there, with his usual cigarette, staring at him. Obviously waiting for a reply.
Cloud said nothing.
Cid shook his head, and silently walked off.
It had been about two months since Aeris was killed by Sephiroth.
Sephiroth.
Cloud couldn't help but wonder what had happened to him. But who cared? He was dead, Cloud had saved the planet from Meteor, and all was well.
But...Aeris.
...I feel it. It feels like I'm being led by something. Then, I'll be going now. I'll come back when it's all over.
Her last words repeated over and over in Cloud's mind, along with the vision of her death. He called out to her.
"Aeris!!!"
He looked around in embarresment. It all seemed to be happening again.
Oh, is that so? You are just a puppet... You have no heart... and cannot feel any pain... How can there be any meaning in the memory of such a being? What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, this is the illusion. ...Do you understand?
The world spinned around him. Cloud felt a sudden, sharp pain in his stomach. Just like when.... Cloud gasped.
"Sephiroth....is.....alive...?"
