A/N: This story came from a prompt I did on Tumblr by Lzclotho. They submitted this: "Regina wants to do something, but Emma doesn't." You are more than welcome to follow me on Tumblr at: burningexistence. I don't own anything affiliated with OUAT. Hope you enjoy –BurningExistence
Town Hall
"Come on, it won't be so bad," Regina said. "We could throw fire balls at people if that'll make you feel better."
Emma looked at her with raised eyebrows and the most disinterested look Regina had seen to date.
"No. You see," Emma replied, "fireballs are your thing." She lifted the wine glass off the counter and took a big swallow. "I'm not going anywhere near the town hall."
Regina put her hands on her hips and narrowed her eyes at the stubborn woman before her.
"I have to go," she said, taking a step closer but keeping her eyes fixed on the blonde who was about to roll her eyes. "I'm the former mayor!"
"Yes," laughed Emma, "former being the key word here. Town meetings are awful, you know that! You led them for how many years?" She smiled wide and pulled Regina between her legs, resting her head against Regina's grey blouse.
"Remind me, your majesty," Emma teased, wrapping her arms around Regina's waist. "How long did you have the town fearing your every move at those meetings?"
Regina put her fingers under Emma's chin and lifted those green eyes to her own. A smile spread across her face, a fire lit her eyes.
"Too long, miss Swan, too long."
She leaned down and kissed the woman who was doing her best not to laugh. "I love you, Emma."
Emma smiled and stood from her stool. "No town meeting, please." She tucked a strand of Regina's hair behind her ears and leaned in close. "Let's do something more….fun."
Regina shook her head, smiled into the woman's golden curls, and then whispered, "What did you have in mind?"
