Catherine Willows had finally plucked up the courage to tell Gil Grissom that she loved him. She walked down the hallways of the lab, and towards his office. She went to walk in and froze.

Sara Sidle was inside with him, in the middle of making out with him.

Cath's heart broke into a million pieces seeing the only man she ever truly loved with the woman she hated the most. Sara stole the one man she trusted with her life, the one she loved more than love itself.

Just as the kiss ended, Gil looked up and saw Cath standing there, her face full of hurt, and tears welling in her eyes as she stormed off towards the car lot.

Gil looked down at Sara, "I'm sorry, I can't do this" he said, because he loved Catherine, and seeing her look so hurt made him feel awful.

Sara looked confused, "What do you mean?"

Gil ran his hand through this silver hair, "I love Catherine, I'm sorry I shouldn't have let this happen"

Sara looked more than annoyed as she stormed out of his office, after slapping him hard across the face.

Gil ran after Catherine, and found her in her car with her head on her steering wheel, her body shaking with the intensity of tears.

He opened her driver's side door, and wrapped his arms around her, as she cried, "I'm sorry"

Cath looked away, "Why should you be sorry? You don't love me"

Gil sighed and took her head in his hands, "I love you Catherine, more than anything in the world"

Cath looked up, "But what about Sara?"

Gil shrugged, "It was one kiss, and it didn't mean anything"

Cath leaned into his embrace, "I love you too" she whispered, as he brushed her tears away and kissed her gently upon the lips.
