"Hey, what's up, Havoc?"

"How've you been, Havoc?"

I heard my two best friends throughout my high school hell, Kai and Danny, ask out as I went over by them. "'Sup guys." I said as I greeted them with a secret handshake. "Only thing good about this shit day is that it is one day closer to graduation." Kai said. "You're telling me." I muttered as my boyfriend, Ace, came over by us.

"Hey, babe." he said. "Hey." I said as I greeted him with a peck on the lips. "Ugh, the bitch brigade is here." I heard Danny groan out. When I looked up, it was none other than Maddy Datner and her best friend, Marissa.

I've always hated Marissa, but I've been best friends with Maddy for a long time, along with Cole Reed. But as mine and Cole's popularity didn't shine as much as Maddy's and because Cole is now hanging out with Felicity Stufts, us three had drifted apart. Now, Maddy has become a basic bitch like Marissa and is dating football player, Kane.

They missed out 3 ½ years of my life.

When some popular asshole decided to mess with me, I retaliated back by beating her senseless. That resulted her into getting a black eye, a busted lip, a bump on the forehead, multiple cuts and bruises, cracked ribs, and a dislocated shoulder and had caused me a suspension. After I had received a bad-ass reputation, I became friends with Danny, Kai, and Ace and we were now called Slaughterhouse 4.

We are called Slaughterhouse 4 because no one tried to mess with us, and if they did, it would end badly for them.

We all have some nicknames to define us. I am called 'Havoc' because I become rather crazy or unstable when I get mad. Kai is called 'Supernova' because of his mischief. Danny is called 'Spades' because of his venom-laced tongue and sharp wit. Ace is called either 'Knuckles' or 'Knux' because he could knock someone out with a single punch to the face.

When Christmas came around the corner in Freshman year, my house got burned down to the ground, I made it out alive, but my parents perished with the flames, despite me trying to get back into the house to save them. That caused my older brother, Austin, to move back from New York to take custody of me. Even though we're 10 years apart, we maintained a close brother-sister relationship.

After witnessing a Maddy-Kane make-out session, the bell rung. "I'm off to choir. See y'all later." I said. I left with my friends saying, "See you, Maria." or "Talk to you later, Havoc." as I left.

Luckily, the Choir room doesn't have a TV, so we don't have to listen to Principal Statszill's announcements. I spot Mr. Mercer, the choir teacher, over near the computer. "Hi, Mr. Mercer." I said and he turned to see me and he smiled.

"Maria, my favorite student." he said as I came in. "You told me that you have some announcements for me?" I asked. "I have some wonderful news for you." he said as he came over to me. "Some representatives from Juilliard are coming over to Charles Adams High on May 17. Because of Prom being in the gym, I opted out the auditorium to them. I gave them some intell about you and it seems like they are very interested." he said.

"Are you serious? Mr. Mercer, a) thank you for this opportunity, and b) thank you for giving me an excuse to not go to Prom." I said. Prom is on the day that Mr. Mercer told me that Juilliard reps are coming here, even though Ace and I are not going to Prom in the first place.

The day went by and soon enough, it was lunch. "Yo, are you serious? Babe, that's amazing." Ace told me as we were going towards our table. I just told Ace, Danny, and Kai about what Mr. Mercer told me. "You are literally a savior, Ria. Like no kidding." Kai said. "Thank you for giving me an excuse to not go to Prom. Honestly, all of the guys here are major fuckboys." Danny said.

Because most of the school are homophobic assholes, Danny had came out as gay and he has gotten a lot of shit over the past 2 years when he had came out. Literally, another guy who also came out as gay is TJ, who is on the Basketball team and he is isolated by them. Within one of the yearbooks, I noticed that everyone was standing far away from TJ as possible.

I hear everybody cheering and when I turned around, it was Kane and Maddy walking into the cafeteria with Marissa, like they are the king and queen of the school. I rolled my eyes as I turned to Kai, Ace, and Danny.

"We need to focus on more important matters." I said as I am now focusing on working on a playlist that would be my make it or break it to get out of Charles Adams High and for the only people to ever know from leaving that wretched high school would be Ace Osborne, Daniel Hampton, and Kai Dawson.
