So, I guess talking with a bunch of your friends does occasionally bring inspiration. =D

"Do you remember when my birthday is?"
It was a very simple question, a 'yes or no' one to be more specific. Yet, he sat there tapping his foot, hoping with all his might that she would drop the question and head back to searching the internet for shoes.
"Why is this question coming up so suddenly?" he retorted back, twisting his cap to the side and brushing some hair out of his eyes.
"It's a 'yes or no question' Ash. Just answer it."
"But, seriously, why all the questioning?"
"Ash. Yes or no."
"Well…"
"Just answer the question."
Ash looked over at his girlfriend cautiously. She was glaring at him. She hated it when he forgot things. Which is why when questions like these popped up, he ran.
Fast.
But, he was glued. They were stuck at a Pokémon Center, so there was nowhere to run, unless he intended on mauling tons of innocent people. If only he had something to distract her. If only Haley's Comet could come tonight, or some random ancient Pokémon. Then, he would be free!
Unfortunately, those weren't options at the moment. So, of course, he was left answering the question.
He looked at her hesitantly before answering, "Yes, I do remember when your birthday is."
"Then when is it?"
Crap.
This was the one part he hadn't thought through.
Let's see.
Max's was the 9th of November.
Brock's was the 6th of December.
His mom was the 19th of August.
Misty's was the 30th of July.
May's was at some point. Well, he hoped.
Might as well give it a random shot.
"Your birthday is February 28th." He sighed, looking up only to see her eyes sparkling.
"So you do remember!" She squealed, kissing his cheek. "That was a test."
"Oh ok." He answered relieved he got the right answer and watched her leave the room. "Wait. There was a test!?"
He exited the room and ran after her. That's what he gets for guessing.
