This fanfiction is just for fun. We are two freaks that think it would be awesome to go to a place like Tortall. We do not own any of Tamora Pierce's great characters. Yea.

Another thing: In the Wiccan religion you cannot travel back in time or do any of the cool stuff we do. Sorry.

One more boring authors note: please be nice - this is our first fanfic. We aren't experienced and we didn't spend a lot of time proofreading this. If you find a mistake please point it out to us, but nicely. We're very sensitive :)

"Chris, you idiot, come over here," I said to my friend who was preparing our Wiccan spell. I was packing our supplies. We had both just finished deciding our list for our trip, and we were planning on having a blast. This was the list we had prepared:

a variety of vegetarian food items that would not go bad for prolonged periods of time - 2 bottles of Poland Spring water - Two CD players with the following CDs - New Found Glory, Good Charlotte, Sum41, Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Staind, No Doubt, Blink-182 - Tons of batteries - Portable DVD player with charged batteries, and with the following DVDs - LOTR, Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, Pearl Harbor, Ever After, complete Spongebob set, Sum of All Fears - Whole Tortall book series (duh!) - Pictures of "our" world - Boombox (for those CDs) - Clothes

We had two backpacks filled with these things.

"Chris! Come ON! You're parents will be home any minute!" We were in his bedroom since all of his Wicca stuff was stored in the bottom drawer of his dresser. He came over and sat next to me, hovering over one of his Wicca books. "Come on, come on!!!" I pressured.

"Hold your fucking horses! I'm reading!!!!!!" Chris said, as he got up and lit a few candles and created something he called "sacred space." I rolled my eyes at his Wiccaness, that Wicca thing just wasn't for me. I didn't believe in anything.

Chris turned around and looked at me menacingly. "You have to BELIEVE in the Wicca, Merrilee! You have to BELIEVE in order for it to work!" "All right, all RIGHT! I beeelllieeevveee. I BEELIEEEEVEEEEEE!!!!" Chris rolled his eyes at my sarcasm, though I actually did put some effort into my beliefs.

He walked over to his alter and created our magic circle. Then he cut a doorway and let me into his special circle after anointing me with oil and saying "welcome and merry met to our magic circle." After some talking and such we lit some candles and all of a sudden I felt weird. I handed him one of the backpacks and he hoisted it onto his shoulders. I did the same with my pack, which held the food (because I might get hungry). I felt woozily and I could see Chris clutching his head.

"Is this spell of yours WORKING?!" I shouted through the rushing noise I was hearing in my ears.

"I don't know! I've never tried to transport myself into a FICTIONAL book before you idiot!"

"WHATEVER!"

Suddenly I saw my matter spread apart and I was a floating mist, as was Chris. I felt a weird attraction towards the open Tortall book, which happened to be open in the circle. I heard Chris singing "Blue scadoo and we can too!" and muttered to myself as to how he could be so silly at a time like this. All of a sudden everything went black.
