A/N: I can't handle S5 right now so here's a S1 one-shot. The good old days, aw.

Storming weather outside and he's looking over the city with a glass of scotch in his hand, watching the rain droplets patter against the windowpane.

He hears a knock on the door and his gaze follows that sound. He sees the door knob moving and someone stepping in. He doesn't need to look who it is, because he knows.

It's always the same story.

Always.

She comes and goes.

She comes kisses him and walks off.

She comes kisses him and fills him with hope and disappears.

It's always the same old story.

But.

It never gets further than that. A few kisses, a few caresses, a few hidden promises for the future.

He never makes a move, never pushes her.

"I'll never be enough for him." She'd tell him and he'd kiss the pain away.

She'd nestle in his bed until the morning dawn and when he wakes up she'd be gone.

Later when he'd see her, she'd pretend that nothing happened. She would act the same, the ice queen and he would still be the bad boy, her boyfriend's best friend.

This time, however, it does get further. Something's changed he notices in her suddenly fiery doe eyes.

Her wet coat hits the floor.

He still doesn't push but she pulls, pulls so tightly he can't resist.

They land on his bed and his imagination takes a step into reality.

Kissing, sucking, licking, kneading, squeezing, teasing. Everything's allowed and he's sure he found a piece of heaven on earth.

Her first time and he doesn't regret one second.

Cherishing every single moment until the very end.

Afterwards they don't talk just stare into blankness.

He feels her breath against his cheek and he can't help but wonder.

"What did he do this time?" He breaks the silence and she looks up to see his face.

"I broke up with him." She answers.

He doesn't say anything back just pulls her closer and it doesn't take long until they both drift off to sleep.

The next morning as he wakes up he feels her body against his.

Something's indeed changed.

He exhales relieved and kisses her head.
