An oddly nostalgic piece. Enjoy. :) R&R!

"Do you ever just miss it all?"

The rain was streaking the glass window, pummeling to get in.

Harry and Ron looked up in surprise. "Miss?" Harry asked. "In what context?"

A heavily pregnant Hermione shrugged and looked out the window. "You can't describe it in words."

"School?" Ron drummed his fingers on the granite table.

"Not only school... but the excitement!" Hermione turned around to face the boys. "The learning, the fighting, the friends we made... and lost."

Both of the boys nodded. "I just can't believe we made it." Harry looked at his former classmates. "The learning, the fighting, the friends we made... and lost."

"Don't you wish we could replay the past?" Hermione lay her head on the table.

"Knowing how it ends... Yes. I would." Ron agreed gently.

"Why does life have to end?" Harry burst out. "Why can't we live the years we want to?"

"Harry, moving on hurts, but it's necessary." Hermione smiled. "But can you imagine life without a murderer on the loose?"

"As a child, no." Harry placed his hands behind his head. "Can you imagine that Snape was actually good?"

"Can you imagine that Hermione and I get married?" Ron placed his cheek in his palm.

"As a child, no." Hermione let out a faint giggle. "But just think, we've had so many good times, yet so many bad ones."

Harry took a sip of tea from his cup, and said, with a softer voice. "Can you imagine if I had parents?"

"If you did mate," Ron said. "Then we wouldn't have gotten to miss anything."

The room seemed to get darker, with the constant thumping of raindrops on the roof.

"I miss Hogwarts." Hermione said, with a loud sigh. "I miss worrying over grades, I miss our rivalry with Slytherins, I miss the professors."

A smile played on Ron's lips. "I miss the excitement of sneaking past Filch. I miss hating the teachers that we had."

"I miss that we had something to live for, and yet something to die for. Now all we can do is..." Harry trailed off.

"Live." The word struck like lightning.

"Live." Hermione repeated. "Seems hard to do now doesn't it?"

"Yeah, after all we've been through." Ron put and arm around his wife's shoulders. "But there's always our kids." Hermione placed a hand on her stomach.

"They'll never get to know how it feels." Harry said softly.

"But I just hope they'll have as great as a time as we did." Hermione leaned her head on Ron's shoulder.

"Should we tell them? About everything that happened?"

That was a question that had come up ever since one year old James had been born. Still, it was unanswered.

"No." Ron said. "Not for now at least. When they get older, maybe."

"Maybe... just maybe, we could..." Hermione leaned forward toward the other two.

"Keep it to ourselves?" Harry finished, with a slight smirk on his face.

"For now..." Ron grinned.

Hermione slung her other hand over Harry's shoulder, and all three of them stared out of the window. Just the three of them, in silence.

Together.

[Update:] I revised this story, so I changed a little bit and corrected some old old old grammatical mistakes. :) Thanks for reading. Reviews are greatly appreciateddd.
