This is part of a challenge between me and VampireloverD (aka Cassidy)
Cassidy: I will win this! You have no chance! :)
Me: I can beat you GET OUT OF MY HEAD!
Cassidy: Nooooo…..
The team was gathered around Nova in the meeting room, waiting for her to answer the question they had just posed against her.
"I like all of you. Equally"
"Nova, you know we want a specific answer" Chiro said as he and the team looked up at her with those big, shiny anime eyes.
"I've given you the answer and as it seems you're not content with it I'll be in my room. And I'll be locking the door."
A large depressed sigh came from the team as they departed, saddened by the fact that none of them had been chosen and singled out. Except for Gibson. He had a plan.
In the middle of the night, a monkey crept along the corridor, making its way towards Nova's room. As it reached her door, it input the override code and her door slid open, soundlessly. The monkey posed itself over her still body, and reached out with a dirty hacksaw. The monkey began hacking away at the body's hair, trying to get a clump for god-knows-what. As soon as the deed was done, the monkey left the room, leaving it in the same condition it was in as it had entered, save some hair of course.
Nova awoke the next morning and made her way to the meeting room where everyone was, well, meeting. The team seemed to be gathered around something or somethings.
Nova pushed in-between Sprx and Antauri and gasped at what she saw. Five golden monkeys which looked exactly like her. Gibson seemed to be handing them out like presents to the rest of the team.
"Gibson! What is this!?" Nova screamed.
"Since you didn't choose one of us, I made enough for all of us" Gibson said with a smug look on his face.
"But, there to many of them for everyone, there's one to many if you include me"
"Your services will no longer be required"
"But…guys…I'm your friend!"
"So are the other Novas"
Nova then left the room, deeply saddened that she had been replaced. She gathered up her things and left the robot forever, casually catching a glance of where, she could only guess, her team was having a 'fun time'. While she was wandering aimlessly, she remembered something she saw in the window of the citadel of bone.
'Now hiring'
I think that's a, nice, conclusive ending.
So…VampireloverD, Think I've bet you?
I'll hopefully be doing a Dragon Age: origins – related story next.
