— Childish —

Maybe she does notice.

The way their eyes danced around each other. The ethereal glances that left a buzz in his ears. The way his heart jumped when their eyes collided.

Bou-san snorted.

He was lying on the couch, his arms spread about the leathery surface.

What were they? Around twenty-five?

Yet, to think that they had time to play such childish games.

He should have attained maturity already. However, he still hadn't grown up at all. After all, instead of trying to face the fact, his brain tried to throw at him all the possibilities that seemed less likely to be true.

Bou-san sighed.

All women were devils.

Ayako was a devil.

He grabbed a fistful of his own hair and yanked it. His frustration was growing by the second and it was getting hard to contain it.

She knew. Definitely.

There was no chance in hell that she hadn't noticed how their eyes met every now and then. It was because he had been staring at her and she had noticed it.

Yes, she definitely did notice.

Yet, she was playing this game with him that he didn't understand. Maybe she was enjoying all of this.

Bou-san groaned.

It was his break. He was away from the office, away from the devilishly attractive woman and here he was unable to stop thinking about her. Between the fleeting glances and acidic conversations, he didn't know when he had started noticing how he looked at her.

He was only left with a strange tingling sensation in his chest followed by a constriction that led to more tingling sensations.

How childish of her to act as if she didn't notice.

How childish of him to act as if he didn't care that she didn't notice.

He did care.

That was where the whole trouble began.

He didn't know why he was attracted to her.

It was frustrating to go on with this game. It was hard to keep track of his growing feelings. It was hard to contain his curiosity, that begged him to find out what was underneath the thick layer of powder and lipstick. He was at times disgusted by the amount of lipstick that she had on her lips. Nonetheless, he was also fascinated by how she carried herself.

Utterly confident.

He was sure that she knew how beautiful she was. Maybe that's where all the confidence originated from, considering the fact that she wasn't top notch in her exorcising abilities.

He let out another irritated growl.

He didn't no why he was worrying about such a trivial matter. He needn't worry about why, he needed to worry about what and how.

He needed to know what kept her from caring about him.

After all, he knew he was attractive. A smug grin made it's way to his face unknowingly.

He knew that she was attracted to him. How they caught each others eyes was more than enough proof. It was a conceited assumption, but he was willing to take chances.

If she was going to throw at him such childish attacks, he was ready to dodge them in even more childish ways.

Bou-san was doubtful if he was even twenty-five.

How frustrating.
