The untold story of a great love

He walked on the streets the moonlight had thrown its lights upon, leaving his footprints behind him on the new white carpet. The snowstorm that started that day enveloped him like a protector from the loneliness and a playful friend, offering comfort. It gently ruffled his hair to distract him from his thoughts while it fussed with his wings, and then it flew back and whispered something in his ear.

There were faces watching him from every house window, wondering what brought him outside in such weather. Only one of them smiled, the lifetime of knowledge about power of the force that brought hearts together through any struggle hidden on the lips.

The man walked on, without noticing the wondering looks, until he reached familiar to him statue. It was a statue of a man with wings, his wings spread out behind his back, ready to take him off the ground and carry him to the skies… He looked at it for the last time, and then turned away, prepared to leave, his own wings behind him.

"Good bye…" he whispered, and began to walk away but stopped suddenly, as the jolt of electricity ran through his body. He knew she was behind him, calling his name franticly and running as fast as she could to reach him on time.

It was then that he turned to face her, with the tears on his eyes that she could not see, and then shook his head. He had no choice over his destiny, and she knew it because he told her so long before…before it started. And, with his wings closing him from the world and his heart, he disappeared, carried away by the friendly storm…

The storm stopped the next day. He told her it would…But the love they shared would never stop: It will stay forever in her heart and his. And as she watched the sun come up, she whispered: "Until we meet again", and he nodded
