Blue eyes stared in to brown eyes as two girls who once swore they would loathe each other their whole lives long now were the best of friends and were dreading the moment when they would have to part, for good.
"I have been changed For Good," They whispered, tears streamed freely down both girls cheeks as they enveloped each other in a hug neither of them willing to let go. Finally the tall green woman pulled back she turned her head for she was not able to look back at the petite blonde standing before her,
"Go hide yourself, don't let them see you, It's time I surrender." The green one replied softly as she grabbed a nearby bucket of water and set it down in the middle of the room.
"No, Elphie I'm nothing without you. I wont stand here and watch you melt. I'll clear your name, then you won't have to-"
"Have you forgotten who I am? I'm the Wicked Witch of the West, Oz's greatest terror." She said this almost regretfully. "No one can clear my name now, not even you." She crossed the room to the nearest window and stared at the Western Sky for a few moments before speaking again. "Promise me you won't clear my name."
"But Elphie-"
"No, Promise me?"
"Alright, I wont do it. But I just don't understand, it's all so unfair."
"Oh Sweetie," The raven haired witch stood and walked over to the blonde, wrapping her in a comforting hug. "I'll never be gone for good. I'll always be with you right here, like a handprint on your heart. It is fair, this is whom I chose to be that day when I jumped on the broom and defied the wizard. I deserve all of this."
"No you don't Elphie. You're strong, you defied the Wizard someone you looked up to your whole life for the greater good. I was the weak one, I should've gone with you."
"No, because then you would've ended up like me, you don't deserve this. I want you to go out there and I want you to try to be Glinda the Good."
"I... I can't Elphie, n... not with without you." The young blonde buried her head in the other woman's shoulder as she began to cry, sobs shook her body and her vision was blurred by the tears that fell freely from her blue eyes.
"But you'll have to, I'm sorry our stories have to end like this Glinda-"
"Sometimes, I wonder if I was meant to go with you in the throne room, but some bazar and unexpected twister of fate came and got in the way. I just wish with all my heart that things could've ended differently."
No sooner had the words left her mouth then a giant roaring sound much like a frat train was heard. The glass on the windows suddenly shattered and the sound of trees falling echoed in their ears.
"Elphie! What's happening!? Elphie!?" The blonde looked around scared as she realized the other woman was no longer holding her. Elphaba had walked over to the window and was watching the sights below with a grave expression. Suddenly her expression changed to one of alarm.
"Glinda run! Go to the basement bring Chistery with you!"
"But what about you, Elphie what's happening!?"
"Just go run! Before it gets you!"
"ELPHIE!" The blondes scream was soon drowned out by the roaring of the wind, she dropped to the ground and attempted to block the sound out of her ears. "ELPHIE!? WHATS HAPPENING!?" She screamed although she knew it was useless for Elphaba could not hear her, she couldn't even hear herself, but she soon got her answer for as she looked up she saw a giant twister heading straight for her.
"Glinda... I'm sorry." The green witch whispered softly before she was sucked in to the tornado along with Glinda.
