Just something I wanted to write in dedication to Jay and Nick :)

Enjoy!

The sunset was... there were truly no words to describe how beautiful it was.

The sky was a brilliant gold as the suns light reflected on the still waters crystalline surface. The sand was a pure, snowy white, only darkening when the clear waters lapped at the shore with gentle waves.

Jay Gatsby was leaning on the hand rail of the deck, just watching with serene smile on his handsome face, mind blank of bad memories and anything negative.

The deck Jay was standing on was connected to a modest, one story beach house, sleek dark brown wood, glass sliding doors that took at least half of the side of the house that exposed the living room to the beach, stairs leading from the deck to the white, soft sanded beach.

'Its very beautiful here,' Jay thought with wonder, a wistful sigh escaping his nose.

While in the hotel room back in New York, Jay decided to let Daisy go, and chose to pursue a person who loved him, cared about him, and told him everything he needed to know, and who was really worth everything he truly was.

And New York was in chaos when they finally left, reporters coming in from far and wide to find that the infamous Jay Gatsby had retired early, Myrtle Wilson never died, and Wolfsheim managed to get both men out of the house and on a boat to a secluded, warm sunny beach in Spain the night after Jay and Nick got back from New York.

Jay had never been happier.

Warm hands lightly squeezed his shoulders, and a warm body pressed against Jays back. Jay grinned and turned around to face the newcomer, and his grinned widened when he saw Nick Carraway, all sharp features and blue eyes, compassionate and honest, in black slacks and one of Jays shirts looking up at him with concern.

"You've been out here for a while, I got worried," He said shyly, his pretty blues cast downward, rosy blush dusting across his nose and cheeks. Jay felt his heart flutter with happiness, how he ever found this amazing, adorable, and talented man he'll never know, but he's forever grateful that he did.

Jay wrapped his arms around the smaller mans waist and pulled him close, happily rubbing his nose against Nicks and murmured, "How did I ever find some one as perfect as you?" Nicks blushed increased ten fold and playfully slapped Gatsby's shoulder, "Jay!

Gatsby laughed joyously and tightened his hold on his dark haired love, pressing Nick to his strong chest and gently swaying them in a dance. Nick returned the embrace and rested his head on Gatsby's shoulder, eyes closing and sighing with contentment and smiling, he snuggled closer.

The world back in New York was waiting for them, but for now, they are just going to enjoy these moments together.

My test being sentimental: Fail, in every aspect of the word.

Read and review.
