Chapter 1
It was the middle of the night, you could hear soft drops of rain coming from outside.
Haibara Ai sat in front of her computer, eyes never leaving the screen. There it showed the information that was needed to make the cure for APTX. No matter how hurt she felt, like swords plunging into her
heart, she knew what she must do. Her blue eyes showed no emotions, her feelings cleverly hidden, a habit, also a necessity from her days with the black organization. Even so, you can see a trace of sadness hiding underneath it.
" A black, cold murderer doesn't have a right to stand in between two people in love. All I can do is give back the happiness I had stolen from them.'' She gently closed her eyes, feeling tears leaving wet lines on her cheeks.
A pair of crimson red eyes appeared visibly on the window.
" Dojo?" A teenage boy with ruffled hair stood beside the ghostly looking girl. She gave no answer, merely kept watching Haibara sadly glancing at the screen. Finally, she turned.
" Let's go home." She said, voice barely above a whisper.
The detective boys, Ai, and Conan were on their way to school. Beside them, two men were arguing.
" –Well, in that case, then I don't want to be your friend anymore!" one of the men turned and stalked away.
The remaining man glared, muttering under his breath, " I hope he rots in hell!"
A girl in a uniform turned around, staring directly at him, her black, straight hair fluttering in the wind.
" Do you really wish that?"
" Huh?" The man, startled, tripped and fell to the ground.
" Ow… go away, little girl, this is grown-up business, nothing you should be worrying about." The man grumbled, more irritated than before.
" I see." She replied, her red eyes staring into his. Haibara Ai turned around.
She was suddenly struck with a nostalgic feeling. She had seen the pair of red eyes before.
Hmm, this chapter is quite short; I'll try to make it longer next time. I'm a person who is ok with CA, but likes Ran very much. (Weird, right?) Anyways, ever since I started loving Jigoku Shoujo, I wanted Enma and Haibara Ai to meet. (Same name, both cool) PLEASE review!! (I get really high when I get one)
