A/N: I wrote this poem for a little contest on another website (I have yet to find out the results). Anyway, just thought I'd post it on here as well. Not my best work, but not bad overall. Any feedback you could give me would be very much appreciated.

Oh, and to prevent any confusion, in the line "those two of six", it is in reference to the six boys in the Weasley family. I suppose I could have included Ginny, but I didn't feel like rhyming "seven" and still making it work.

Warning: Spoilers for DH.

Laughter Lost

Listen 'round to tale told
Of a boy in red and gold
One of two, those two of six
Those two got up to many tricks
But, though these two were lots of fun,
We focus not on two, but one
This one of two with hair of red
And dreamer's dreams within his head
From the school he did depart
With merry eyes and lightened heart
Achieve those dreams he did do
Not just one, but both those two
Then both one of two and his twin
A battle they set out to win
Against the dark that did rise
With smiling mouths and laughing eyes
But tragedy struck a fatal blow
To the sound of enemy's victory crow
Two no longer two, but one
Twin without brother, day without sun
This one of two had layed his head
On his final resting bed
The fight went on, the need to win
To avenge this loss of red-haired kin
The battle won, but at great cost
We mourn these days of laughter lost

(In loving memory of Fred Weasley)
