Lost and found
Chapter one
Disclaimer: I DO NOT own The flash or it's characters, sadly I never will.
Authors note: hope y'all enjoy this fanfic, sorry for the short chapter, this is my first one.
Things to note:
Barry and iris are in the seventh grade
Barry and iris are besties
Iris' mom is dead
Barry's dad is convicted of stealing illegal drugs
Barry doesn't have a crush in iris
Barry's mom is still alive. You'll learn more later.
Barry pov
It was a regular Thursday, like every other that had come before it. Except today my mom was leaving for world travels for the article she writes each year, she did this every other year, I really should be used to this by now. She would say," My boss wants me to go to France this year" or "This year I have to go to Russia." Never once has she said, ' Barry, this year I said I won't go, I want to be able to see you grow up and I want to be able to be there for you.' Never.
At least I have my best friend Iris to keep me from breaking down. My mom says that when it gets closer to her leaving I'm going to move in with Iris and her dad. I would have been able to stay with my dad at our house like I always had done in the past, but since he was accused of stealing illegal drugs it's been just me and my mom. So, I'll be staying at the West's. And when my mom comes back for holidays and stuff, she'll stay in the guest room. As soon as I move in with them we are selling the house.
Every time I go over to Iris' I end crying in her shoulder while she holds me for however long it takes for them to dry up. She is so nice to me, all of the other girls at school think I'm pathetic, and the boys tease me for my dad stealing drugs, even though he didn't. If only one thing in my life could stay the same.
5 months later
Today was an ordinary day when I woke up. I went downstairs had some of Joe's homemade banana bread, which is amazing! Then, I got dressed, put on my shoes, grabbed my bag and lunch. All I had to do was get on the bus.
Once the bus arrived at school, I was the first one off. I left my Dad's file in my classroom yesterday, and I knew if anybody found it, I would be A, a dead man and B my case file was going to get ruined.
Luckily, I was the first one in the classroom, not even the teacher, saw that I had left the file. Last week, she said if she found it again she would take me to the principal's office. Apparently students shouldn't be " parading around claiming their drug dealing father's innocence, it makes them look immature, and untrustworthy. And by carrying around that case file of someone who 'clearly deserved to go to jail, for his wrong doing is just as naughty, as parading his innocence!" That's what my teacher says at least. That was one of the shortest and calmest rants she has done about me," parading that monsters innocence."
Anyway, the school day went by pretty quickly. I only got beat up once in the hallway, and Iris was able to stop them before anything major happened. What a great day it has been! Once we got home, I immediately ran outside to go climb up to our tree house, grab my book (of science) and go crawl in my little nook, in the tree to the left of it. Once I finally got settled, and got to reading my book, Joe called me down, from the back porch for something about mom and the phone. COME ON, MOTHER! CAN'T A BOY JUST HAVE HIS PEACE!
Joe yelled for me again, when I closed the book. This sounded serious now, he has a look in his eye. Oh my, I hope she's okay.

Sorry for the cliffhanger I just want to make sure Y'all come back to read the second chapter, I also want to promise you that I will never leave this story, I will make sure it has a proper ending, and that I am open for suggestions.
