Not my best, but oh well.
Lily cried the first time James asked her out.
Lily cried the first time James kissed her.
Lily cried the first time she said yes to James.
Lily cried when James proposed to her.
Lily cried when she married James.
Lily cried the first time she slept with James.
Lily cried when she got pregnant.
"Lily, why do you cry all the time?" James asked her one spring day late in her pregnancy.
"What?" She asked glancing up from the book she was reading. "I'm pregnant, give me a break."
"You know full well what I'm talking about." He rolled his eyes. "Whenever there's a milestone in our relationship you cry."
Her eyes widened for a split second before she recovered. "I have no idea what you're talking about. Now-uh-let me read my book...really good part."
"You're reading Hogwarts A History. There are no good parts. What are you hiding?"
"Oh, no. Baby's kicking, I have to, er, take care of that."
"You honestly have to come up with better excuses, love."
Lily shot him a glare. "I don't want to talk about it." She crossed the room and pretended to be busy with mindless tasks such as choosing something to eat.
James simply followed her, if she knew one thing about him it was that he was determined.
"Lily, lovely." He pulled her closer. "What is it?" His brow furrowed. "Did I do something?"
"Merlin, no." Lily sighed. "It's just that...you're always taking my firsts. Like my first kiss, my first boyfriend..." She trailed off to find him grinning.
"That's cute, Lils." He kissed her. "Idiotic, but cute."
"...First marriage..."
"Oi! Take that back, Potter."
"You might as well call me Evans because I'm drawing up the divorce papers." She giggled at his dumbstruck expression and kissed his cheek.
"I love you, James, even though you stole all of my firsts."
"And now we're having a baby."
"Just another thing to cry about."
