Prologue 1: The Impulsive Beginning
(In the darkness of Viridian Forest, a five year old girl walks aimlessly around looking for a way out.)
Kathy: (groans) Why did I get myself into this?
(Flashback)
(Back in Viridian city a boy is being picked on by a group of other boys).

Davis: Haha! Stupid crybaby!
Other Boy: You always cry about everything!
Other Boy#2: (mockingly) Wah! Wah! Goes the baby!
Syrus: (crying) L-let me a-alone!
(The boys continue to pick on Syrus as Kathy runs towards them).
Kathy: Leave him alone you jerks!
Other Boy: Oh-oh!
Other Boy#2: It's her!
Syrus: (crying) Ka-Kathy!
Davis: Well if it Syrus's little pokemon!
Kathy: I'm not his pokemon! I'm his friend! Stop picking on him!
Davis: Make us!
Other Boy: (scared) W-wait Davis!
Other Boy#2: (scared) I still have the boo-boos from the last time we picked a fight with her!
Kathy: Hehe… You should listen to your smart friends, Davis!
Davis: Don't be a couple of chickens! Look at her! She really can't do too much!
Kathy: What's that supposed to mean!?
Syrus: K-Kathy! L-lets go-
Davis: All you can do is yell and hit! Like a stupid pokemon!
Kathy: (angry) You take that back!
Syrus: Kathy!
Other Boys: Davis!
Davis: (grins) Fine. I'll take it back, but you have to do something first!
Kathy: What!?
Davis: There's a special berry that only grows deep in Viridian Forest. You have to get that berry for me alone! Then I'll take back what I said about you being a pokemon!
(The boys are shocked while Kathy stands calmly)
Other Boy: D-Davis!? That's going too far!
Other Boy#2: You know the Viridian Forest is crawling with wild Pokemon! It's too dangerous!
Davis: (grinning) She doesn't have to do it. It's up to her!
Syrus: (shakes Kathy) Kathy?
Kathy (pauses) Fine!
(All but Davis are shock)
Syrus: W-what!?
Other Boy: You're crazy!
Kathy: I don't care! I'll do it!
Davis: (not buying it) Yelling again are you?
Kathy: (angry) Why you… (runs to the forest)
Syrus: (running, but can't catch up) Kathy! W-wait!
Kathy: (yelling back) I'll show you!
(Present)
Kathy: I should of listened to Syrus…
(the trees start rattling)
Kathy: (surprised) W-what's that!?
(a flock of spearow fly out of the trees and fly towards her).
Kathy: Aaaaaaah!
