'Twas beauty that killed the beast.

The words rang through Wilder's head. Mrs. Hrisikos, his English teacher, has uttered the quote, mentioning the upcoming novel study of Beauty and The Beast.

Just an english assignment right?

Then why is it that the simple quote held so much meaning to him.

He didn't know any "beauty"….well, besides Amanda. She was always beautiful. Her hair always dangled in the perfect way, teasing him. If he could just reach out and touch it…

He shook his head of the silly thought.

He was Wilder, the beast. In manners, in class, he was nothing. A peasant to his princess.

He was a pauper. There's no way Princess Amanda would ever consider him of her level, he'd never be cute in her eyes.

Wilder thought back to earlier today when Amanda had been flirting with that jock erik.

HA! That's right erik, so insignificant that Wilder wouldn't capitilize his names, not even in his thoughts.

Amanda would know soon enough that he could be a prince.

Then erik will be the pauper as Prince Wilder and Princess Amanda ride off into the sunset, happily ever after.

Just a drabble. Uneditited and completely typed as the words came to me. I might do a companion fic, in Amanda's POV (third person again as this was).
