This is the first time I ever wrote a poem, so I decided to write about Severus Snape from Harry's perspective. I think it would be interesting to see what Harry thought about Snape, because it never specifically mentioned what Harry thought about him in the epilogue. Please tell me what you think! Hope this isn't too bad. :)

The Bravest of Them All
I once had a professor
with sallow skin and stringy hair.
He was my greatest rival,
the one I most despised.
You see, it was easier
to judge him by his pretense
and not by the man he was
underneath the mask.
How wrong I was to find that he,
my "arch enemy"
had been my protector
this whole time.
I branded him
a coward, a traitor
but in fact he was
the exact opposite.
This man risked his life
every second,
played the role of spy
with every ounce
of cunning possessed.
He had been
a Death Eater with
a Light wizard's morals,
a Slytherin with
a Gryffindor's heart.
And where every other man forgot,
he remembered always,
Loved eternally.
I know now
the truth of the man
who changed my life irrevocably
and I will be ever grateful
for his protection
his promise
his sacrifice
And although he will not know this,
for he is no longer in this world
and somewhere better now
I just need to say that
I have met many heroes
known many brave men
But Severus Snape was, is,
and always will be
the bravest of them all.
