Prologue

Dear Journal,
The BSC is going to Hollywood to see Derek Masters! Jessi was hired to sit for him out there and the entire BSC, as always, is coming along! My family is, too. Karen is utterly convinced she's gonna meet Miley Cyrus. I already told her not to get her hopes up but she won't listen to me. I guess it'll be her loss when we get home and Karen hasn't sung onstage with Hannah Montana. But whatever.
Anyway, we're flying out in three days. "We" is me, Mary Anne, Claudia, Stacey, Dawn (she's back for the summer, only to go back home), Abby, Mal, Jessi, Watson, Mom, Sam, Charlie, Karen, Andrew, and Emily. Nannie isn't really up to the idea of big flashing lights and junk. So she's staying home to take care of the pets.
