A/N: I know I'm supposed to be concentrating on work and stuff, but today I did an RSA course, and came upon this definition, which was just too tempting to ignore.
So this drabble is for Ron (the guy who taught my RSA course). Because anyone one who inspires a bit of writing is worth dedicating to.
Intoxicated (adj.) – a person who appears to be seriously affected by alcohol or another drug or substance. An intoxicated person is a risk to themself and others.
Edward said I was intoxicated by him – that his very presence was enough to make me dizzy. Before he'd even kissed me, my head had been spinning, the anticipation as nauseating as it was pleasant.
Everything he did was like that.
For every cool touch of his skin, warmth flooded my body, battling his ice with my fire. For every cautionary word, there was a priceless compliment, making me forget the warnings, drawing me even closer. For every exalting look he gave me, there was an inexplicable flicker of regret in his eyes.
Yes, I was definitely intoxicated by him.
