I was rerading the story when this poem came to me. It's questions many i think wants to ask Johnny's mother.

Do you see

What you've done

You've ruined your only son

Do you see

How much pain

You put him through

As he withstood the abuse

Do you see

The many cuts and bruises

You've made upon his face

Do you see

What the beatings

The screaming

Have done

to your one and only son

It wasn't his fault

For the wrongs

Done to you

But still you blamed

Him for the faults

Of his father

And now he's gone

You've lost the only one

To love you for you

I hope the alcohol

Was worth the wrongs

You've done

To your only son.
