Fallen Fire
By Melissa Gustin
Hated fallen angels mourn
Their once holy state rescinded
Pain and fire their legacy
While heaven's walls were mended
Heat rises from the smoke
A sphere was then created
For a lower band of innocents
A hellish doom was fated
And now the world breathes ash
And hate and scorn and fear
While children murdered in their beds
Still laugh and scorn and jeer
Yet heat rises and so too do we
And hell on earth is true
But while god reigns as king and lord
We can bid heaven adieu
