TRATIE! Here it is…

Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson and the Olympians

"Hey Gardner," Travis said walking up to Katie. Katie Gardner was kneeling on the dirt in the strawberry fields doing what Demeter kids do best… garden.

Ignore him, she thought. She continued gardening, bringing her hands over the soil and concentrating for a moment. A few seconds later, a little strawberry plant appeared. She gave a satisfied smile. Travis poked her.

"Kaaatiiieee! Hey Katie!" he said. She continued ignoring him. "Katie!" he said, "Why you ignoring me?" She rolled her eyes, still ignoring him.

"Katie!" he said, "Fine! I give up! I guess while you are too busy gardening, I'm gonna prank your cabin."

No response

"Come on Katie! Why are you ignoring me? Talk Katie! But don't yell, you're scary when you yell," he said. She rolled her eyes.

"Don't you have cabins to prank?" she asked turning to him. A smile appeared on his face.

Thank the Gods she's still talking to me! He thought.

"Nope," he said sitting next to her, "Connor is off somewhere probably stealing- I mean buying something from the camp store. Besides, we already pranked a cabin today. Plus I'm bored."

"You're bored? Is that why you're here?" she asked getting up and moving to another patch of land, planting another seed. He followed her.

"Yup!" he said. She rolled her eyes and brought her hands over the new patch of soil and soon another strawberry plant appeared. She smiled but Travis looked unimpressed.

"What?" she asked him.

"Is this what you do every day?" he asked. She nodded. He shook his head in pity, "It looks so boring."

"Boring?" she said, "Gardening is not boring!"

"Yeah it is."

"No it isn't."

"Yes it is."

"No it isn't."

"Yes Katie, it is."

"No Travis, it isn't."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No-"she started, "You know what? I'm not going to take part in this immature little fight. You know why? Because I'm mature."

"Yeah, and in other words, boring," he said. She glared at him.

"Well I'm Demeter's daughter so I guess gardening is in my blood. Just like stealing is in yours. You don't like gardening because you aren't Demeter's child and you have no desire for it. Plus, I'm not exactly that fond of stealing, or pranking." Travis shook his head.

"Katie how do you live?" he asked, "You do this gardening thing every day! How do you not die of boredom?" She glared at him. Of course he didn't hear a single word she said.

"It is not boring," she defended, "And I enjoy doing it everyday. Why do you find gardening so boring exactly?"

"It is just so easy. You just dig a hole. Drop a seed. Cover the seed. Do your little Demeter magic and Presto! You have a plant. There's just no challenge," he said.

"Oh, if gardening is so easy, why don't you do it?" she asked.

"I um well um, I don't have the Demeter magic hands! Yeah! I don't have the Demeter hands," he said wiggling his fingers over a patch of dirt. Katie rolled her eyes.

"Travis please stop bothering me. If you're bored, go prank another cabin," she said.

"Funny you should say that…" he said getting up.

"Why?" she asked also getting up.

"Oh nothing," he said, "So, have you been to your cabin since this morning?"

"No," she said, "I'm going there now. Why?"

"Hmmm? Oh, just curious. Well, bye Katie!" he said walking away.

She waved before walking to her cabin.

A few seconds later you could hear her scream throughout the entire camp.

"TRAVIS STOLL!"

Yeah, so that's it! Sorry, I stink at endings…. REVIEW!
