The ancestors of the Valentinians were said to have come to Erion on a flying ship from another world. When the Cauldron was built, King Valentine decided to name the ring that controlled it Titrel in honor of that world. When he heard of this, the wise and aged scholar Krois sighed and retreated to his study in the palace.

His bony fingers plucked ancient books and scrolls off messy shelves, laying them upon his equally cluttered desk in a disorganized fashion. He called it his "personal way of going about things." His daughter Meril teased that he was simply too scatterbrained to come up with a proper way to organize things.

The books were opened and the scrolls unfurled. Krois adjusted his spectacles as he began to sort through the tale of their ancestor's home world.

In ancient times, the world of Titrel had been incredibly beautiful. Much like Erion, the magic in the land was so great that it could be felt in the very air and in the earth. There were many kingdoms, but none were as powerful as the parent empire of Valentine. With wise magicians, seers, and scientists acting as its backbone, it quickly began to research new technologies and magic, becoming more advanced than any kingdom before it.

But they couldn't have counted on their greatest discovery marking the beginning of their planet's slow rotting; the power of life's light, Phozons.

Machines were created that ran purely on Phozon energy. To obtain the great amount of Phozons needed to run these machines, Valentine fought wars with many other kingdoms and obliterated their populations. Forests were chopped down and the ocean was allowed to rise. It wasn't until it was almost too late that the Valentinians realized that their great mistake was, inevitably, going to cause their deaths.

With worry in their hearts over the survival of their people, the Valentinians created a magic ship that could fly through the air and to other worlds. While most of the population would remain on Titrel, a group of around a hundred or so citizens was handpicked to become settlers. Among those one hundred settlers, a man was appointed to be the king of the future settlement. With that, the ship departed Titrel to lands unknown, eventually reaching Erion. The settlers would never know the final fate of their home.

With his research complete, Krois sighed and returned his materials to their shelves.

When Valentine was destroyed, these books and scrolls were lost. With Krois death, the truth of the world of Titrel was lost. When King Valentine was obliterated by Leventhan's breath, the last memory of Titrel's meaning was lost as well.
