Chapter 1: Temptations
Phineas and Ferb woke up like any other day, grabbing breakfast, feeding Perry, their duck billed Platypus and heading outside to start their day's project. Today was a particularly big one, because they were building a 'Dating Machine' if you will, for all the singles in the Tri-State Area. As they were both single, Phineas and Ferb would both be entering it, along with Baljeet, Buford, Isabella and all of the Fireside Girls Troop 46321. As the materials entered the yard, the delivery driver could'nt help but wonder, aren't they a little young to be building a dating machine, but he kept that to himself, he'd cut them a little slack, people had their motives. By midday they were finished, and they'd done a pretty good job of it too, the idea came from an advanced version of their 'Mix and Mingle' machine they built last summer, however having all just turned 17 they decided to crank it up a bit.
As they all entered the machine, the gang were nervous as to who they would be shown, and, for a laugh, Phineas and Ferb decided to share a booth and the first person they were shown was Ferb's former flame Vannessa Doofenschmirtz. Initially surprised, she skipped the boys because of awkwardness and for the next hour, they were given different people, about 45 minutes in, Ferb decided he'd call it a day because he had a headache, and left for the house, leaving Phineas in the booth on his own.
Phineas thought Ferb had left to go back into the house, however this was only the first part of his plan. It was in fact Ferb who had suggested the idea that morning to his brother, just for this. Ferb took a visit to the control room, the place where all the logic behind the machine was, that the boys had built as a 'Just in case' sort of thing. Here Ferb scanned through all the rooms, thankful that he had added a box to enter your name so the system wouldn't set you up with the wrong person. He looked for a few minutes until he found the box that said 'Phineas', and added it to the manual mixing list. It took him a few more minutes to find the other person he was going to set up. There she was, she was added. Now all was left to do was wait...
