AN: There simply isn't enough love for this series here. Hopefully someone who can do it justice will write more in the future.

Miyuki Shiba, a Course 1 student at First High School and gifted magician. She was hand selected to be the first years' representative after getting the highest entrance exams score and was well recieved by her peers. However her greatest joy is the fact that she is the sister of her older brother Tatsuya Shiba and she tries her best to make him as happy as possible. However it is the treatment that he receives from other magicians that irritates her to no end. Yes, Tatsuya struggles with anything beyond the basics of magic but his skill with development, deduction, and magical theory should more than make up for.

"Miyuki, is there something on your mind?" Tatsuya asked as he turned away from his terminal. His current project was a mere oversight when his sister was present. A fact that she truly treasures in her heart.

The young woman turned a slight shade of red when his eyes focus on her. She knows that for his all brillance and skill he was emotionally crippled by their mother. The only feelings he has is the ability to care for his little sister, not that she doesn't bask in it but it greatly upsets her that he never defends himself from others unless she involves herself in it. "Nothing, Onii-Sama. I was just thinking how wonderful it is to be your sister."

The Course 2 student gives a small half smile and pats her on her head. "I couldn't ask for a better one."

If the young woman wasn't blushing before then was now. Miyuki leans contently into her aniki. "How much longer can we stay like this? How long can we stay with our new friends?" Her reasons being that she wanted to spend time being 'normal' however the fact was they stood out too much when either of them was involved with competitions, research, or competency of knowledge or skill. The games was proof enough although it was nice to see that her brother was being acknowledged for his talents, even if those who taking notice were girls who made advances on her onii-sama. The more longer they lingered in one spot, the more likely they would be noticed.

Tatsuya's face went back to its neutral gaze as he grasped her hand. "I can't say. Who knows when mother will call on us to return to being Yotsubas once again?" When they were confronted by the family last time it nearly turned into a shouting match between her and the other members but Tatsuya's condition allowed him to end the conflict though stir receiving the scorn of the certain members of their family. He released the memory of that last meeting then his gaze softened when he turned to his younger sister, "but until then I will do all I can to make you happy." After all, he was literally the embodiment of her absolute happiness.

"I know, Onii-Sama. But even after that will you still be there for me?" Tatsuya gave her his half smile, that was only reserved for her, as he nodded. Pleased, she smiled and embraced him. "In return I will always be by your side." This was a promise she intended to keep now and forever, no matter what was in store for their future.
