"I like you." Rahzel said as she walked down the street with Rayborn. They had some time to kill. Alzeid and Baroqueheat had taken off on some important, secret business. Rahzel didn't know what that business was, and wasn't sure she wanted to know. There were quite a few nice shops in the area. Therefore Rahzel was taking the opportunity to spend whatever money their group had left.
"I know, I know." Rayborn replied as he glanced into a store window. "How many times is that now?"
"Fourty-three," the black-haired girl mumbled.
"You should pick up the pace. At this rate you'll still be saying you like me even after we're dead!" He laughed. Rahzel blushed and glared at him. She mumbled those three words again before taking off down the street again. As they turned a corner, a group of children ran past them while shouting. A few of them bumped against the pair, almost making Rayborn lose his balance.
"Were those kids yelling about a beach?" Rahzel thought aloud. "I thought this town was more inland."
Curious, the two followed in the direction of the children. As they walked, Rayborn remembered that they met at the seashore. He smiled as he thought of just how much Rahzel, Alzeid and Baroqueheat had changed his life. Suddenly, he noticed that Rahzel's footsteps had stopped just ahead of him.
"This isn't a beach," Rahzel exclaimed. "Just how were those children educated?" Indeed, before them lay a playground sitting in a large rectangle of sand. Frustrated, Rahzel stood still where she had stopped. It was clear that the girl was looking forward to seeing a waterfront again. Rayborn smiled and walked past her. He sat down, and began to push aside the dry sand.
"What are doing?" Rahzel asked, stepping forward.
"I'm making a sandcastle."
"Can I help?"
"Of course."
The sandcastle progressed well, even without water to fill the moat. In the castle, Rahzel began making little people out of sand. Rayborn asked her who they were supposed to be. The one standing in the middle tower was Rahzel herself. Guarding the entrance was Baroqueheat. Standing behind a wall was Alzeid, who seemed to be frowning.
"I like you."
"I like you, too"
"I like you more."
Before the blue-eyed girl could say more, she was silenced by Rayborn's lips against hers. He pulled away from her after a few moments and smiled.
"I'll let that count as ten 'I like you's."
-Extended Ending-
"Where the hell are we?" Alzeid asked, irritated by the early hour Baroqueheat had dragged him out of bed.
"Al-boy!" He exclaimed. "Don't you know a strip club when you see one?"
