"Alzeid. What did you do?" Rahzel asked the man hiding in a closet. A look of shame crossed his face. Rahzel looked concerned. Her father was stomping around the house searching for him. Of course, Serateed had never been very fond of Alzeid. Ever since they had come back to Rahzel's hometown, he had been treated like an animal.

"I sat at the dining table like a normal human being." Alzeid admitted. "He walked in on me. I didn't even get to finish eating." Rahzel sighed. She stepped into the closet and sat down next to him. She didn't want to blow his cover. She felt partly responsible for his treatment. After all, he was only here to convince her father to let her go traveling again. She leaned her head on his shoulder.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"Putting up with all this."

"I'm here because I want to be here. Don't get confused. I'm leaving as soon as I can convince that man."

Rahzel smiled and whispered, "Please just wait a little while longer." Footsteps sounded down the hall. They held their breath as he passed. The noise faded and they relaxed.

"How long do you think he's going to keep going after you for?" Rahzel asked. It seemed unlike her father to be so angry at such a small offense.

"How am I supposed to know," Alzeid mumbled. Rahzel pulled herself closer to him and hugged his arm. "What are you doing, you stupid woman?" He complained.

"Just stay like this. You're warm." Rahzel closed her eyes. Alzeid sighed and brushed her fringe from her eyes.

"What am I going to do with you?" He grumbled.

-Later-

"Where would Serateed keep the towels?" Baroqueheat murmured to himself. He noticed a closet down the hall and went to search it. As the door slid open, he chuckled. "That's not a very good place to be doing that. They clearly don't have enough experience to be doing this without me." The two in the closet were fast asleep next to each other. He rearranged Rahzel and Alzeid's positions in the closet and shut the door. "Now, about those towels."

-Even more later-

Rahzel groaned as she woke up. There was a strange weight on her body. Something was tickling her nose as she breathed in and out. She took her hand and brushed it away. Her eyes shot open. Her hand had touched hair. The realization finally hit her. Alzeid was on top of her, asleep. It was then that she was more aware than ever of how heavy he was.

Alzeid mumbled something in his sleep and shifted. Rahzel sighed and closed her eyes. This position wasn't completely horrible, after all.
