"Momma?" The little boy peered through the cows udders up to the blond haired woman's face.
She smiled down at him while she continued milking the cow with expert speed. "What is it, Luke?"
"Why was Henry jumping on Cluck?"
Claire's hands froze as her cheeks turned the color of the ripe strawberries in her field. "They're playing leap frog."
The boy got up, not quite believing his mother, and meandered across the field to the large purple house. As he walked past the chicken coop he heard the noise of more chickens 'playing leap frog'.
"Luke? I thought you were with your mother."
The boy just pouted while looking up to his father and his purple bandana. "I was but Mommy isn't telling me the truth."
"About what?"
"Daddy, how do you play leap frog?"
Kai looked thoughtful for a moment before replying, "Well you crouch on the ground like this... and the other person jumps over you."
Luke just crossed his arms. "That's not how the chickens do it."
It took a few seconds, but when the meaning of his sons words hit him the tips of his ears were visibly scarlet and he took off for the field. "CLAIRE!"
Needless to say they all had a rather lengthy conversation about how chickens aren't very good jumpers, how using wings is against the rules of leap frog and how this conversation wasn't to ever leave the farm.
