"You're not enough." Jade's voice was low, soft.
"I can be. Let me be. Please?" Cat pleaded.
"You can't be. No one can."
"Please don't do this, Jade. You're enough for me. You're everything."
Jade could hear the tears in Cat's voice, feeling strangely disconnected. "Don't you want me to be happy?" Jade dropped the phone, hands numb. "You're not enough. I'm sorry."

A/N: Have you noticed all those fics around, that consist of about fifty to sixty words? Well, I'm getting in on that market. It's so efficient! Think of the millions of fics I'll be able to churn out if each consists of less words than I use to order my fancy coffee!
In all seriousness I was challenged to write an angsty fic with 69 words. So I did.
