BREAKING APART
Close my eyes and move to the back of my mind
Where worries are washed out to sea
See the changes, people's faces blurred out
Like the sunspots or raindrops
Harry stood outside Ginny's front door. No doubt she was probably relaxing with a hot cup of tea in front of a beautiful blazing fire. He laid his hand on the oak door, deeply wanted to form a fist and knock, but he couldn't bring himself to do it, so he just stood there pathetically on her doorstep.
Now all those feelings, those yesterdays feelings will all be lost in time
but today I've wasted away for today is on my mind
"Mom!" The small raven-haired girl called to her mother as she wildly pointed out the window "Mom! Dad's outside."
Ginny shook her head, going over to the window beside her child "What have I told you about lying Alex,"
Left the only worries I had in my hands
Away from the light in my eyes
Holding tight and try not to hide how I feel
'Cause feelings mean nothing now
As Harry had turned his back to leave her house, the door opened.
"Harry?" Ginny called "Is that you Harry? Is it really you?"
Harry closed his eyes to turn and look at her. She had a small figure standing next to her, barely up to her knee.
He nodded. "Hi," He said lamely.
All those feelings, those yesterdays feelings will all be lost in time
but today I've wasted away for today is on my mind
(yeah today is on my mind)
"So what brought you back?" Ginny asked curiously sliding the steaming fresh cup of coffee over in front of him.
"Missed you, missed Alex," He commented.
"You actually missed me and your son? Surprising." Ginny said with mild sarcasm.
"I'm different." He cut in.
"Oh really? Not dwelling on the past long enough to notice you have a family that needs you?"
Now I can't care to worry
I'm feeling so lonely
Breaking apart all this love in my heart
Harry stared at her blankly.
"For god's sake say something Harry." Ginny demanded.
Harry blinked. "You met someone else? What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means I started dating someone." Ginny clarified.
"But…You're married…to me!" Harry said exasperated.
Close my eyes and move to the back of my mind
Where feelings mean nothing now
"You disappeared…" Ginny said looking down. "I needed someone…someone who didn't always lock himself in his study oblivious to his daughter."
There was silence, Harry couldn't grasp this.
"Look, I'm sorry." Ginny said flatly.
"You're my wife!" Harry repeated standing up and stamping his hand firmly on the table, shaking the two mugs of coffee, "My Wife Goddamn it."
"And you knew, when you married me, that I needed someone that would always, always be there for me." Ginny said standing up as well. "Not someone who disappears for 6 months!"
All those feelings, those yesterdays feelings will all be lost in time (all be lost in time)
But today I've wasted away for today is on my mind
for today is on my mind
yeah today is on my mind
"Ginny," Harry pleaded as the red haired woman prodded him out of her house- his house- THEIR house.
"No Harry, just go back to where ever you disappeared to." She said opening the door and pushing him out. "I moved on," She shook her head and sighed "I'll owl you."
Now I can't care to worry
I'm feeling so lonely
Breaking apart all this love in my heart
